Dr. Ibironke received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a master’s degree in Information Systems from University of Maryland. She completed her doctoral program at University of Phoenix in Business Administration with concentration in Organizational Leadership and Management. Dr. Ibironke worked as a professional engineer in the utility industry for over 16 years and took on several key engineering roles.

 

In the professional world, Dr. Ibironke holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Sigma Six certificate. She has worked in the engineering field for over 16 years in several private and public sectors consisting of design, construction, and information technology fields. While working at her place of employment, she had the opportunity to mentor new upcoming engineers and also volunteered on behalf of her company in several non-profit organizations in Maryland such as United Way, Our Daily Bread, My Sister’s Place, Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity etc. Dr Ibironke also had the privilege to serve as an executive member for the Employee Resource Groups across Exelon during her tenure in addition to her daily job duties. 

 

She is the executive director and CEO of a non-profit organization called Diaspora African Network of Powerful Professionals (DANOPP) which was established about 5 years ago. The organization focuses on personal and professional development for adults and mentoring for youth and young adults. Dr. Ibironke is dedicated to nurturing and mentoring young adults in her community with the hope to serve as a female engineer and GOD-fearing role model to the younger generation. She organizes yearly speed mentoring workshops/conferences/seminars for young adults and established an online book club focusing on developing personal and professional aspects of life with strong biblical principles.

 

Dr. Ibironke currently runs her own Small Minority Women Owned business in Howard County Maryland which offers professional services to companies in the DC, Virginia and Maryland area.
